Classification
Exploratory: Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)-Pediatric
Short Description of Instrument
This is a computer adaptive test and short forms of participation designed for children with SCI. It has newly developed item banks containing questions pertaining to participation. There is a child-report (ages 8-21) and parent report (ages 4-21).

Item Banks:
Self-participation - child response scale is "as much as I want"; "A little less than I want"; and "a lot less than I want".
Friend-participation - child response scale is "as much as my friends"; "A little less than my friends"; and "a lot less than my friends".
Rationale/Justification
The PMoP is the only pediatric measure that was designed specifically for children with SCI. The items were developed through an iterative process, engaging content experts, including children with SCI. Validation studies confirmed unidimensionality and strong correlation between the full item bank and 5-, 10- and 15-item computer adaptive  tests (CATs). When CAT is not feasbilile, the PMoP can be administered via short forms.
